If you haven’t heard the buzz yet, just wait… you will. This Kiwi singer-songwriter has been talked about since last fall, so when I finally got my hands on her album I was a bit wary. Too many artists are coming out of nowhere, predicted to be the next big thing and sound like everybody else.

I’m a believer.

This album is intense, it’s got beats and I can’t stop playing it. What’s amazing is she wrote and played most of the instruments herself. Not bad for a 27 year old New Zealander. I hear a lot of Chrissie Hynde in this record, and that’s not a bad thing.
